I was asked to be a guest on the TLDC.us podcast which is a daily discussion on Instructional Design. I thought they were going to talk to me about instructional video and instead once they learned about the new program I’m helping to develop at Bellevue University that is where the discussion moved. We talked about the importance of a digital portfolio for instructional designers and how to handle developing your portfolio when so much of the work is either “Work for Hire” or has a full Non-Disclosure Agreement stopping you from sharing your work. We also talked about Instructional Design theory and the different models of instructional design and how they are still relevant. It was a fun time and exciting to introduce so many instructional designers to the work that is starting to come together at the university.
