How I Use Asana

Yesterday I was asked how I use Asana.com so I decided I’d make a quick video walkthrough to show how I personally use the tool.

Personally, I find the single most important feature to be the reoccurring tasks. I entered in everything that was listed on my job description and how often I am supposed to perform those tasks. Then I added in my own.

After that, I use the projects as both projects and lists. For the lists, I just leave off the assignments and due dates and when I use a “project” as an actual project I assign the tasks to myself and mark the individual tasks with due dates.

And finally, I use “Sections” to help break the day up and organize the flow of my day.

It’s a great tool that I have used for many years.
